Minooka, IL, March 17, 2017. Locomotive and locomotive service and parts supplier, Motive Power Resources, Inc. (MPR) announced today that it has completed its first locomotive overhaul at its recently completed heavy overhaul and repair facility in Minooka, IL. The rebuilt locomotive is an EMD SD38, fully upgraded with a ZTR Nexus system, newly rebuilt mechanicals and a host of upgrades. The locomotive is shipping today from Minooka, IL to MPR’s customer, Ardent Mills in Easton, PA. MPR’s new locomotive overhaul center contains approximately 30,000 square feet of heavy locomotive overhaul and repair space, 5,000 square foot of remodeled office and administrative space, all new track construction and a new 12,000 square foot warehouse to accommodate new, rebuilt and qualified parts and components.
